Judith Glaus (Zurich, 1954) studied ceramics in Faenza, Italy at the end of the ‘60s and later ran her own ceramics studio in Zurich. After having studied sculpture at the Ecole superieure des Arts Visuels in Genf, for a short period, in 1979, Glaus decided to enroll at the A.K.I. (Artez) in Enschede. Since 1991 Glaus has had regular exhibitions at Galerie Oele in Amsterdam; in 1998 she showed five large new works at the KunstRAI in Amsterdam. Glaus’s work, made in oilpaint on paper, combines an ‘Innere Blick’ – an expression of the tormented soul – with a touch of humor and lightness.
