Hans Ebeling Koning (Bilthoven, 1931) is a painter, drawer and graphic artist. Between 1952 and 1956 he studied at the A.K.I. (Artez) in Enschede, where he taught drawing and painting between 1960 and 1987. In the ’60 Ebeling Koning made work with pop-art references; around that time he became inspired by the idea of the zero-movement. His work, for which he was awarded the SNS Gelderland Artrize (1994) and which was exhibited at the Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam (1976) and Museum De Fundatie, Heino (2003), consists of pen-drawings in India-ink, gouaches on paper, oil-paintings on canvas and screen printings.
