Donnie Gerhardus (Doesburg, 1959) started making paintings, in a characteristic combination of silicone sealant with (oil)paint, from the age of seventeen. After studying at De Ateliers in Haarlem, in 1991 Gerhardus permanently settled in Doesburg. He received several grants from the Mondriaanfonds and exhibited at several locations in the Netherlands over the past few years.
